Interest areas

Topics and questions shaping my attention.

  • Competitiveness of US markets

How does the US continue to be a country that unlocks prosperity through the competitiveness of its markets? Ensuring best talent, avoiding monopoly formation, and creating fertile ground for creativity is key.

  • Ethical Debt

Countries or organizations that have amassed immense global power benefit from "too big to fail" dynamics, but the advantage can be eroded overtime depending on how responsibly they act when consequences can be delayed for decades.

  • Sanctity of human life

Few would disagree with the value of human life, but governments and society could do better to demonstrate this in their actions.

  • Responsibilities of democratic citizens

People are not their governments, unless of course you live in the US where a world class democracy does in fact mean the government is the will of the people. It's important we the people do not dodge responsibility for our government's actions.

  • God

What does that word mean to you, and do our definitions match?

  • Separation of church and state

An important value that sometimes feels forgotten. How does the US continue to be the example here in how the world should work?
